This Privacy Policy describes how Hustle Center (“HC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the Hustle Center platform and related services (“Service”). By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

1Information We Collect

We collect and process the following categories of information to provide the Service:

Account Information

• Password (securely hashed)
• Account preferences and settings

Business Information

• Business name, address, and phone number
• Employer Identification Number (EIN)
• Business logo and branding details
• State of operation

Employee Information

• Full name and address
• Social Security Number (SSN) — stored encrypted
• Pay rate, pay frequency, and filing status
• Deductions and withholding allowances

Client Information

• Client name, email, and address
• Company name and contact details

Financial & Document Data

• Generated paystubs, invoices, and estimates
• Payment history and credit balance
• Invoice amounts and payment statuses

Usage Data

• Feature usage and document generation counts
• Credit purchase and consumption history
• Access logs and timestamps

2How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• Provide the Service — Generate paystubs, invoices, estimates, and mini websites based on the data you enter.
• Process Payments — Manage credit purchases and track your credit balance through our secure payment system.
• Send Communications — Deliver invoices and estimates to your clients via email, and send you account-related notifications.
• Calculate Tax Estimates — Use employee and business data to produce estimated tax withholding amounts on paystubs.
• Improve the Service — Analyze aggregated, anonymized usage patterns to improve features, fix bugs, and enhance performance.
• Maintain Security — Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access to accounts.

3Data Storage & Security

We take the security of your data seriously and employ the following measures:

• SSN Encryption. Social Security Numbers are encrypted using AES-256-CBC encryption before being stored in the database. SSNs are only decrypted when needed to display on a generated document and are never stored in plaintext.
• Password Security. User passwords are securely hashed using industry-standard algorithms. HC never has access to plaintext passwords.
• Local Storage. All business data, employee records, client information, and generated documents are stored in our secure database. HC does not share copies of your data with external parties.
• SMTP Credentials. If you configure email sending, your SMTP credentials are encrypted before being stored in the database.
• Data Isolation. Each business within your account has isolated data that is not accessible by other users or businesses.

We implement strong security measures to protect your data, including encryption at rest and in transit, regular security audits, and access controls.

4Data Sharing

Your information may only be shared with the following parties, strictly for the purpose of providing the Service:

• Payment Gateways. When you purchase credits, your payment information is processed by our secure payment system and trusted payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal). Hustle Center does not store your payment card details.
• Email Providers (SMTP). If you configure email delivery to send invoices or estimates to clients, the document content and recipient email addresses are transmitted through your configured SMTP provider.

No other third parties receive your data. We do not use third-party analytics services, advertising networks, or data brokers.

5Cookies

Hustle Center itself does not set any tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies.

The only cookies used in connection with the Service are session and authentication cookies required for you to log in and use Hustle Center. These cookies are essential for the Service to function.

6Data Retention

We retain your data according to the following guidelines:

• Business & Employee Data. Stored in your account database until you choose to delete it. Data remains available as long as your account is active.
• Generated Documents. Paystubs, invoices, and estimates remain accessible for as long as your account is active. You may download them as PDFs at any time.
• Access Logs. System access logs and activity records are retained for 180 days for security and troubleshooting purposes, after which they are automatically purged.
• Credit & Transaction History. Records of credit purchases and usage are retained for the lifetime of your account for accounting and support purposes.

When you delete your account, all associated records are permanently deleted from our secure database.

7Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Regardless of where you are located, we provide all users with the following data rights in compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable regulations:

• Right to Access. You may request a complete copy of all personal data we hold about you.
• Right to Export. You may export all of your data in JSON format directly from your Hustle Center dashboard at any time, including business records, employee data, client information, and document history.
• Right to Correction. You may update or correct any inaccurate personal data through your account settings.
• Right to Deletion (Right to be Forgotten). You may request permanent deletion of all your data from our secure database. This action is irreversible.
• Right to Restrict Processing. You may request that we limit our processing of your personal data under certain circumstances.
• Right to Data Portability. You may receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format (JSON) and transfer it to another service.
• Right to Opt Out of Sale. We do not sell your personal data. There is nothing to opt out of.

To exercise any of these rights, use the data management tools in your account settings or contact us at the email address listed in Section 11. We will respond to all requests within 30 days.

8Children’s Privacy

The Service is intended for use by individuals who are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will take steps to promptly delete their account and associated data. If you believe that a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at the email address listed in Section 11.

9International Data

Hustle Center is a service hosted on our secure servers. Your data is stored in our secure database. We do not transfer, copy, or replicate your data to any unauthorized external servers or data centers.

Your data is stored on servers located in the United States. If you have questions about the geographic location of your data, please contact us at the email address listed in Section 11.

10Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make changes, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this page.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Service after any changes to this policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. For material changes, we will provide notice through your Hustle Center dashboard.
